Me and my best friend want to get a summer job for 14 year olds for a while. She’s 13 and I’m 14 and we want to find a job in San Antonio, Texas that can hire us and pays probably $70 -$100 and week? Any suggestions please?

You can’t be legally hired at the age of 13 and 14.

You have to resort to small tasks like lawn mowing and babysitting.

At 13 and 14 you won’t be able to get many jobs. You could do babysitting for a bunch of different kids. You could work at a restaurant washing dishes or something. You might be able to get a job at a small store or restaurant. Ask around and keep your eyes open.

14 years is tough to get a job, but I’ll share a few I’ve known of… one worked at a local park district/gym and had receptionist responsibilities. Family owned stores will consider, but you need connections. Little stands at malls will sometimes hire as young as 14. You can get a much broader range at 16… I worked at Best Buy and Panera Bread when I turned 16.

In my city they allow 14 year olds to deliver and sell newspaper subscriptions. I think you have to be at least 15 with a work permit to do anything else. Good luck
